In his ruling on Thursday, Justice Okon Abang held that the two sureties must provide a bail bond of one billion Naira each and also be owners of landed properties in any part of the Federal Capital Territory.

The sureties, according to Justice Abang, must provide original title deed of their landed properties along with two passport photographs with sworn affidavit before the court.

Alex Badeh is standing trial on a 10-count charge of money laundering, corruption and criminal breach of trust.

He is to remain in the custody of the Nigerian Prisons, pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.

Justice Abang has fixed March 14 for commencement of his trial.
