Gloomy future for Nigerian MultiChoice subscribers, as firm slashed subscriptions in Kenya, Ghana, 2 other countries

Football fans are within a couple of days to the start of a new season of the 2016/17 Premier League and MultiChoice Nigeria is ready to bring an unforgettable and unmatched football season to fans across the continent.

Last season was unpredictable and exciting as Leicester City were crowned Premier League Champions. Football lovers all over the world are anticipating another unpredictable season with coaches like Guardiola, Mourinho, Conte, Wenger and Klopp going against one another in the Premier League.

To make this season more memorable, MultiChoice Nigeria together with SuperSport, the world of champions, will screen day two matches of the Premier League with a live studio broadcast on Sunday, 14 August at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere in Lagos.

Viewers will be immersed in the action from their favorite clubs and players with former Liverpool FC legend, John Barnes alongside other SuperSport on air personalities delivering live commentary and in-depth analysis of the Bournemouth vs Manchester United and Arsenal vs Liverpool matches.

“This season we decided to screen day two matches at the National Stadium to give more football lovers the opportunity to witness the game in high definition amid funfair”, said Martin Mabutho, general manager marketing, MultiChoice Nigeria. He disclosed that MultiChoice continuously looks for innovative ways to make the season more exciting as it has become the most anticipated event that subscribers look forward to.

”Our ongoing Live Your Dream campaign starring Watford FC striker, Odion Ighalo, already set things in motion. Our subscribers can rest assured that this football season will be packed with so much entertainment and exciting offers”, Mabutho concluded.

Match day two promises to be exciting as the “big” teams come out to play. Last season sixteenth placed Bournemouth will play at home against Manchester United. United finished fifth last season but has since hired the ‘Special One’, Jose Mourinho to get them back to their glory days. Red Devils and a lot of Mourinho’s supporters and foes will be looking forward to this game. Players like Zlantan and Pogba will be making their debuts for United.

Meanwhile, Arsenal who finished second last season and automatically qualified for this season will be up against Liverpool that finished sixth last season on the League table. The Gunners, will be looking for an excellent start but Klopp and his boys will do anything to take a point away from the Emirates stadium.
