NSE Indexes: A Window to tracking ETF performance

The Nigeria Stock Exchange is to hold a Market Data Workshop for stakeholders and operators in the money and capital market as the need for sound information about market data becomes sacrosanct.

According to a statement released on the website of the NSE, the workshop which is the first of its kind is aimed at increasing awareness on the critical role of Market Data in making sound investment decisions on both the buy and sell sides. It further stated that the programme is specifically designed for Investors, Market Data Aggregators, Exchanges, Regulators, Government Agencies, Dealing Members, Telecommunication Companies and the capital market ecosystem at large.

The NSE Market Data Workshop with the theme, “Understanding Market Data for Savvy Investing and Wealth Generation”, is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at The Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island Lagos at 9:00 a.m.

The press statement further stressed that the primary aim of the workshop is to bridge the information gap between the Exchange and market participants, knowing the high correlation between information (market data, stock market prices and news) and sound investment decisions.

At this workshop, the NSE’s wide range of data products, both historical and real-time and their appropriateness for the different classes of investors will be showcased.

The event will feature a keynote address, presentations from leading experts, interactive sessions and a panel discussion with thought leaders on “The Future of Market Data – where we are now and what next”.
