NYSC deploys 2,300 Corps members to Sokoto State – Coordinator

Election: NYSC urges Police to protect Corps members, expresses fear over fake kits

The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), has deployed no fewer than 2,300 Corps members to Sokoto State under the 2017 Batch A, Stream II batch.

The Sokoto State Coordinator of the scheme, Alhaji Musa Abubakar, disclosed this to newsmen in Sokoto on Tuesday.

He said that the Permanent Orientation Camp at Wamakko, headquarters of Wamakko Local Government would open on Wednesday, July 26 to register Corps members for the orientation exercise.

“Consequently, registration exercise commences on the same day and closes by midnight on Thursday, July 27.

”In the same vein, the Corps members who will be successfully registered, will be sworn in on Friday, July 28, while the orientation closes on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

”We have concluded all the necessary arrangements to ensure the security and welfare of the Corps members, both during and after the orientation exercise,’’ he said.
