Osun State House of Assembly member representing Obokun Constituency, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has bagged an award of excellent of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Obokun chapter.
The award was presented to him and other awardees during the CAN award service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Ibokun on Friday.
Presenting the award to him, the Chairman of the Association, Venerable Isaiah Ariyo said the award was in appreciation of his kind gesture of previous, present and continuous contributions towards peace, stability and progress in the constituency.
The cleric also said the award was in recognition of the lawmakers commitment to religious harmony and unity.
He also said, Oyintiloye contribution and that of other awardeeds to the unity and love in Christiandom was one of the yardstick for the honour, saying the award was well-deserved.
Shortly after receiving the award, Oyintiloye expressed delight that his contribution to the development and unity in his constituency did not go unnoticed.
Recalling that a similar honour had been conferred on him by the Muslim counterpart, he said, the fact that the award was coming from a religious body was a plus and a challenge for him to do more.
He then assured that he would strive more to ensure that the activities that won him the award are sustained and even improved on for the benefit of his constituents and beyond.
Earlier, the guest speaker, Very Reverend Isaac Subuloye in his lecturer charged Christians to ensure that love and unity existed within Christiandom.
He said, this was the only way the message of christ and his coming could be preach all over the world.
