Police nabs Church burglar in Lagos

A suspected church burglar has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in Ajangbadi area of the state.

The arrest was made possible by the prompt response of the Ajangbadi Police Divisional headquarters and the task force team of Alaba International market in Ojo.

The culprit, Tosin Adeyemi, and his gang members now at large had on Monday night burgled The Solid Foundation Holy Ghost Bible church located on Omotayo Awoyemi crescent in the area. The hoodlums made away with the entire musical instruments.

One of the associate pastors, Pastor Peter Udoh, had gone to the church Monday evening only to discover the missing gadgets. The burglars gained access into the church through the roof.Church robbers - newsverge (2)

The pastor reported the case at the police station and subsequently reported to the task force of Alaba International market. The task force apprehended the suspect when he approached a trader to sell the stolen keyboard.

The pastor and police were subsequently alerted and invited to the market to identify the objects and take the suspect in. The stolen equipment were fully recovered.

The officer in charge of crime in the division, W/Insp. Romoke Owojaye, reiterated the commitment of the Divisional Police Officer to rid the environment of robbers and miscreants.
