Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc has extended its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative to a Lagos-based Non-Governmental Organization, Teenage Life on partnership aimed at strengthening youth development in the country.

The Coordinator of Teenage Life, Mrs. Jessica John Braimah, commended the commitment of the Underwriting Firm in promoting youth mentorship in the country through the various programmes that the company have continued to support over the years.

She explained that the current initiative of the organization which Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc is supporting is centered on educating the youths in the areas of governance, economic empowerment and social infrastructure development.

She opined that the role of the youths is very critical to the growth and advancement of any nation which explains why special attention is given to youth mentorship in her organization.

She concluded by appealing to other corporate organizations to get more involved in youth administration issues in promoting a better society especially at a time when the values are fast becoming eroding in the country for one reason or the other.

In her words, “the intervention of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc in supporting our ‘Life Encounters’ radio programme on a syndicated basis across the country testifies to the affirmation of the brand as a very responsive and trusted partner that can be relied upon at any given point in time. I am particularly grateful to the Management of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc for their unflinching support of our programmes over the years and I hope to see more corporate organizations emulate such novel initiatives in finding a voice for our youths in the country.”

The Head of Corporate Communications and Brand Management for the Underwriting Firm, Mr. Segun Bankole said the organization’s support for Teenage Life over the years is in line with the business philosophy of the company in investing in the future of the Nigerian Youth as Leaders of Tomorrow and Change Agents for the Nigerian society.

He said that explains why the company have been so involved in youth development programmes especially in the areas of sports and education.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc, Mr. Olaotan Soyinka succinctly adds, “Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc towers high above its peers in the Industry when it comes to issues of Corporate Social Responsibility, the company has been involved in numerous initiatives cutting across various platforms like Sports, Education, Entertainment, Health and so on.
