The Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) is rounding up the year on a strong note with yet another edition of its highly acclaimed Breakfast Meeting session.

This fifth edition, which holds for Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Adna Hotel in GRA Ikeja Lagos, will feature Mrs. Nkiru Olumide-Ojo, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Stanbic IBTC Bank.

A well rounded professional with almost two decade experience in both the Agency and client’s side, Olumide-Ojo will lead discussion at the session on the topic, ‘PR Agency-Client Relations: A View from Both Sides.’

Like the past four editions which featured speakers made up of respected senior executives from the public relations industry, participations will be drawn from within and outside PRCAN as well as the marketing communications media.

Previous speakers were Ekufre Ekenam, Corporate Affairs Adviser of Nigerian Breweries; Emeka Oparah, Director of Corporate Communications and CSR at Airtel Networks; David Okeme, Brand Building Director at Unilever Plc and President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN); and Tony Ojobo, Director of Public Affairs at Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC).

PRCAN President, John Ehiguese said that it is hoped that participants would gather insights that would help enhance the relationship between their agencies and their clients from the speaker’s unique experience on both sides.

He said: “In choosing the topic for this session, we were hoping to tap into the speaker’s unique experience as someone who has tasted both sides of the divide in her journey in the world of public relations, spanning brand communication, marketing and corporate communications from her days in Virgin Nigeria, Bharti Airtel Nigeria, Forte Oil Company and currently, Stanbic IBTC Bank.”

PRCAN is legally chartered by a Bye Law of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), to cater to the interests of the consultancy side of PR practice in Nigeria. It currently has a membership of 50 PR consultancy firms providing services across at least 21 PR practice areas.
