Women not only good in the kitchen, Yemi Alade replies Buhari
Against President Muhammadu Buhari’s controversial comments that his wife, Aisha, belongs to the kitchen and the other room, the self-acclaimed Mama Africa, Yemi Alade, said women are also good at anywhere we want to be.
The 2016 MTV Africa Music Award winner disclosed this after she received best female award recently.
In her word, “Women, don’t forget that we are not only good in the kitchen, living room and the other room — we are also good at anywhere we want to be”, she said.
The ‘Johnny’ singer is also the first female to be nominated for ‘artiste of the year’ category.
She also performed with Sauti Sol, Kenya group, winners of the ‘best group’ category.
