Airtel bags Award at ATCON’s 21st anniversary

Leading telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, has been honoured with a Merit Award by the Association of Telecoms Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), as the body on Friday to marked its 21st anniversary with a colourful event in Lagos.

ATCON while presenting the award noted that Airtel’s pioneering investment in Nigeria’s mobile telecommunications industry earned it the Merit Award.

Sokoto State Governor and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal presented the award to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya who was represented by the company’s Director of Corporate Communications & CSR, Emeka Oparah.

Other top government functionaries, personalities in the telecommunications industry and distinguished Nigerians also graced the occasion.
