Airtel, Unilever take oral hygiene to Imo state

Imo State students in Community Primary School, Amumara, Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of the state, have benefitted from the oral hygiene programme sponsored by Airtel and Unilever Nigeria in partnership with the Nigerian Dental Association (NDA).

The oral health programme which was conducted recently at the school received a warm welcome from the teachers and students.

A pack containing toothpaste, toothbrush and oral health manual was handed over to each student after a brief education /demonstration on how to maintain oral hygiene.

The students were encouraged to always brush every morning and night, using fluoridated toothpaste.

The dentist urged them to stay away from sweet and sugary things in order to maintain oral hygiene, and noted that they should eat more fruits, vegetables and drink sufficient water.

They were also advised to see a dentist every six months.
