Gas explosion killed attendant in Minna

Gas explosion yesterday killed an attendant identified as Sani Adewale while refilling cylinder which caused scare among residence along Bosso road in Minna the Niger State capital.

The incident occurred at around 12 noon but was brought under control by the combined efforts to the police and fire service.

The shop owner has his shop located near a second generation bank had opened for the day business when before the neighbour heard a loud explosion.

It was gathered that whereas some were scared and started running away , those who were courageous to find out what was happening discovered the body suspected to be the owner of the shop scattered on the floor of the shop.

Investigation revealed that the combined security team and the state’s fire amidst the uproar caused by the explosion arrived the scene and condone off the part of the dual carriage Bosso road.

When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, ASP Bala Elkana confirmed the incident, saying that only the attendant was killed as the situation was quickly brought under control by the combined efforts of the police and fire service.
