In commemoration of the Saint Valentine’s Day 2017, Marie-Louise School located in Lawanson area of Surulere, Lagos on Tuesday demonstrated the essence by showering love and gifts on the neediest in the society.

Led by the Proprietress, Mrs M.C Ibekwe, teachers and pupils of the school went out to celebrate the day with the aged, widows and the vulnerables.

One of the staff, Mr Olamiju Shokoya described the gesture from the school as an initiative of the Proprietress whom they all refer to as ‘our colleague’.

“That is her person, she always want to reach out to others. She has feelings for the less privileged, and she has been doing this for many years now.” He added.

Also speaking with our correspondent, a female staff, Mrs Christiana Eguoba noted that the occasion is used to teach the pupils lessons of love.

“We use the avenue to let them know that there are people who are not as privileged as they are. We involve the pupils so that they would grow with loving attitudes.” She stressed.
