We’ll ensure improved services across MDAs — SERVICOM

Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the Kano State Servicom Directorate has tasked civil servants in the state to be alive to their responsibilities through effective service delivery to the people.

Alhaji Sunusi Abdullahi, Servicom’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the directorate made the call on Friday in Kano in a statement he signed and made available to journalists.

The PRO said that the permanent secretary made the call during service delivery surveillance of the Ministry of Health and its agencies.

He said that the directorate was established to improve the public service and not as watch dog for any person or organisation.

Musa further said that public service was the only contact most people had with government for the social service to reach them.

Abdullahi also said the directorate had keyed into the new Federal Government’s policy on “Change begins with me”, which he said would be beneficial to all, if properly adhered to.

The permanent secretary called on the civil servants and general public to report their complaints to the directorate for necessary action.

In his remark, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Alhaji Dahiru Musa, commended the state government for establishing the directorate, describing the effort as a welcome development.

He urged the state government to look into the problems militating against improvement of service in all the ministries, departments and agencies in the state.
