Delta Gubernatorial hopeful, Obire O’diakpo, Ph.D has called on Deltans to seize the opportunity of the 2018 Easter Season to embark on a sober reflection, and be prepared to be part of the liberation that his team is bringing to the State, to set it free from the raging misrule, come 2019.

The aspirant however wished the people of Delta State happy celebrations in the spirit of the season of the celebration of the historic death and resurrection of the Author and Finisher of the Christian faith, “Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Dr. Obire whose admonition is contained in a statement issued by the Director, Media and Publicity of the Obire Campaign Organization, Prince Daniel Ekiugbo, which was made available to newsmen, emphasised that Easter Seasons are special times that calls for sober reflections by availing the people an opportunity to reminiscence as well as brood over both the spiritual and physical lives of man.

He maintained that just as sin came into the world through one man, Adam and also by One Man, Jesus Christ, salvation came – according to the Scriptures, so also Delta State shall be liberated through one man, which is himself (Obire O’diakpo, Ph.D) from the misrule of the state over the years.

Dr. Obire described the 2018 Easter Season as a very crucial and remarkable one being the Easter proceeding the general elections of 2019, stressing that by the next Easter, Deltans shall have voted in a new set of political leaders,  “so we must strive to use this celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to reason deep and take the firm decision to bring liberation to Delta State, which I represent.”

He particularly underscored the need for the those who would form the bulk of delegates at the APC gubernatorial primaries to endeavour to cast their votes in his favour in order for him to secure the ticket which is the much-needed weapon to fly the party’s flag to the 2019 general elections in which he is very optimistic of victory.
