Ambode condoles with Punch Newspapers over death of Chairman

Mr Gbadebowale Wayne Aboderin, Chairman, Punch Nigeria Newspapers Limited, has died at the age of 60 years.

Mrs Angela Emuwa announced this on behalf of the family in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday in Abuja.

Emuwa said the late Aboderin died on Wednesday, May 31, at 6.05a.m after a heart surgery at the First Cardiology Consultants, Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to her, the late Aboderin was also the chairman Punch Commercial Printing Limited and Lukahed Properties Limited.

He attended Government College, Ibadan, and was trained as a pilot in the United States.

During his life time, he was sports enthusiast and philanthropist and also the founder of Dolphins Female Basketball Foundation.

He was also a former chairman of the Lagos State Basketball Association and one time of Nigerian Basketball Supporters Club.

He is survived by wife Titilayo and children.
