Ogun 2019: Obafemi/Owode still intact for YAYI, says Adesina

As 2019 general election approaches in Nigeria, some Nigerian politicians who play politics of blackmails and deceits have started the game as usual. Prior to this assertion, it is therefore no news that very recently, there are rumours flying round against a leading gubernatorial aspirant in Ogun State who is also the Senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District it the current 8th National Assembly, Senator Solomon Adeola also known as Yayi from Orile Isaga, Yewa axis of the Ogun State.

The recent rumour about the most popular governorship aspirant in the State is the one going viral that thousands of his followers from the State Central Senatorial District which include six Local Government Areas namely: Ewekoro, Ifo, Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Odeda and Obafemi Owode have decamped from his Movement (Yayi Movement) to another political platform in the State.
To establish the truth of the matter which has brought different arguments in the camp and other political camps of the State, the Media Correspondents of Ogun State newsverge and Yayi Media team in Obafemi Owode Local Government of the State, were yesterday, Friday, 22nd of June visited one of the apex leaders in the leading governorship aspirant’s camp (Yayi Movement), Engnr Babatunde Akeem Adesina for interview.
The leader, who was a 3 time Chairman of the Local Government is also a strong leader in Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi Movement in the State. While responding to the press yesterday in his Asero residence, Engnr Adesina who expressed his dissatisfaction regarding how people recently spread rumours said, “it is painful to note how people disburse rumours nowadays. They sit at the last corner of their room and formulate a lie and sell it to the media. Most especially, at this political era.
This I think it is not good for our democracy”.  Disregarding the rumour that Adeola loyalists from the six Local Governments of the State Central Senatorial District which include Obafemi Owode Local Government, Mr Adesina said, “as far as Yayi Movement in Obafemi Owode Local Government is concerned, we are intact and very much in order”.
Engnr Adesina who also reaffirms the stand of his people in Obafemi Owode local government with Senator Solomon Adeola during the interview said, “not only in Obafemi Owode but other places too, what I can be very sure of is that in we are still very mich intact in Ogun Yayi Movement most especially, Obafemi Owode Local Government, we have focus we can be trusted based on records and how we are trained morally and politically.
I must confess, Since we have been working with Senator Solomon Adeola, we have got no cause to regret because, this is a man with vision and and a high integrity, which is most important element that could be found in any better leader like the incoming Governor, Senator Solomon Adeola and it’s been great working with him. This man like I said, has all it takes to become the Governor of our State come 2019.
More also, the Adeola that I know has never for once said he is not interested in the governorship race or he will drop his aspiration because he has focus and knows what he wants. Why should we leave such a sage for another who may have no or little of his leadership qualities”.
I therefore appeal to our people and the general public to disregard the rumour that thousands of supporters of Senator Adeola from Ogun Central have decamped from his camp to another. This is not true. I repeat, Most especially in Obafemi Owode Local Government, we remain focused and we stand with Adeola always and always.
Or has anyone glanced through the pictures of those thousands that decamped according to some reports? Nevertheless, in Ogun Yayi Movement, we shall continue to be intact through unrelentingly dedications and commitments towards the realization of the Distinguished Senator Solomon Adeola -Yayi FCA gubernatorial ambition as it is necessary to rescue our people out of hunger.
Once again, Obafemi Owode Yayi Movement is intact and we are always with Adeola anytime any day because, we are convinced he has better intentions and meant good for the good people of Ogun State. Hence, he will win the governorship race come 2019 by the special grace of God”. Said the apex leader, Engnr Babatunde Akeem Adesina
