Aisha Buhari engages women, children ahead Presidential inauguration

The wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, would on Saturday interact with Nigerian women towards charting a new course.

The interaction would work towards improving women participation in politics as well as enhancing their health and physical well-being.

This was disclosed on Thursday by Hajiya Mariya Rufai, the Secretary of the Sub-committee of first lady’s activities for 2019 Presidential Inauguration, in Abuja.

She said that the President’s wife would also host children to a party at the State House Conference Centre.

The first lady had been an advocate of the improvement of maternal and child health in the country.

Other advocacy by Aisha include the girl-child education, Youths Educational Empowerment as well as advocacy against drug addiction by women and youths.
