BREAKING: Dapchi Schoolgirl Leah Sharibu Released

The last of the released Dapchi School girls, Leah Sharibu has been freed.

BBC Hausa service reports that the Dapchi’s remaining schoolgirl is now heading home to be reunited with her family.

Leah Sharibu, was the only member of the Christian religion Boko Haram refused to release, after dismissing her counterparts.

On Wednesday, 106 girls were released together with a young boy, but Leah Sharibu was held back for refusal to renounce her faith.

President Muhammadu Buhari had assured that he was committed to the release of Leah Sharibu when he received the released girls on Friday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. President Buhari has described the kidnapping as a major disaster for the country.
