Ibadan Chiefs, artiste, customers applaud Sabrina for supporting Oke’badan Festival

Chief Ifasola Ifamapowa, the Aboke of Ibadanland, customers and music artiste have applauded Sabrina, a premium extra dry gin from the stable of Euro Global Foods and Distilleries Limited for promoting the rich cultural heritage of Ibadan people through the sponsorship of Oke’badan Festival.

The Managing Director, Euro Global Foods and Distillers, Manish Uniyal disclosed that the sponsorship is part of the company’s commitment to the Nigerian market and its rich cultural heritage and values, adding that its brands are proudly Nigerian products and locally produced.

Speaking in the same vein during a courtesy visit to the Aboke of Ibadanland, the Chief Custodian of the festival; Devanshu Seth, Head of Marketing, Euro Global Foods and Distilleries stated that the sponsorship is part of his company’s commitment to the preservation and promotion of Nigerian culture.

“Sabrina represents quality life, happiness and fun. That is why we have identified with the Oke’badan Festival this year.

“We also realized that, the Oke’badan Festival is an annual celebration deeply rooted in the rich culture and ancestry of Ibadanland, particularly spearheaded by the Aboke family. This is why we have come to join the Ibadan people in the celebration of Oke’badan in order to help the people sustain their own heritage” he said.

Responding to Seth’s comment, Chief Ifamapowa, on behalf of his Chiefs, family of Aboke and people of Ibadanland welcomed the Euro Global team to Ibadanland and thanked them for sponsoring the festival.

He, therefore, required that the company should support the festival in subsequent years, given that Sabrina is the number one dry gin of the Ibadan people and its neighbouring communities.

“We thank your company for partnering with us this year. Meanwhile, we want you to partner with us again in a more befitting way because our people love Sabrina a lot. In fact, most people have asked me since we started the Fuji music concert that, where have your products been all this while. They have not seen Sabrina in this city for a long time. That shows that, the people love Sabrina due to its quality and I am glad when Mr. Seth said that, 95% of the raw materials you used in producing your drinks are all sourced locally here in Nigeria.” He pointed.

Similarly, the company supported this year’s Fuji music concert were Fuji Artiste, Taye Currency thrilled participants of the festival with his hit songs and also song about Sabrina.

Taye Currency said, “The concert would not have been this exciting and memorable, if makers of Sabrina did not partner with us”. During his performance, he threw Sabrina packs to fans at the Mapo Hall on day 1 of the festival.

Asides from the commendation for the sponsorship, Consumers applauded the brand for quality. Muritala Ganiyu, an Okada Rider(commercial motorcyclist) at Beere said “Sabrina is back? I have missed it. I love the drink. I used to drink it when it was available in the market and I know it is a very good drink.” While Muraina Ifakoya, a Welder at the Mapo Hall area pointed that “Sabrina is a nice drink. I don’t know why you people stopped its circulation. I am yet to find a brand that will replace Sabrina but it is good to note that, Sabrina is now back”

The Sales Director, Euro Global Foods and Distilleries, Felix Aighobahi therefore assured all consumers of Sabrina and other brands under the company’s portfolio that the company will continue to make its products available in stores and sales outlet across Ibadan and beyond.

This year’s Oke’badan Festival was held on 7thand 8th March, 2018.  It is an important festival cherished by Ibadan people.

Sabrina comes in different pack sizes; 75cl bottle, 20cl bottles, 12cl pet bottle and 3cl sachet. Other products from stable of Euro Global such as Sona Bitters and Seaking were also showcased at the two days festival.
