Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State has inaugurated a committee to conduct congresses of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at ward, local government and state levels in the state.

Speaking while inaugurating the committee on Wednesday in Katsina, the governor said the chairman and members of the committee were selected on merit.

Masari recalled that the last congresses conducted for the party were adjudged the best in the country.

He, therefore, hoped that similar feat would be achieved in the conduct of the congresses for the party to have credible leadership at all levels.

The governor pointed out that the committee would work with the National Committee that would supervise the conduct of the exercise in the state.

Responding, the chairman of the committee who is also the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa pledged that the committee would discharge the assignment to the best of their ability.

He added that the committee regard the congresses as a family affair and would conduct the exercise with fairness justice.

Other members of the committee include Muntari Lawal, Special Adviser and Permanent Secretary, Government House, the Commissioners of Finance and that of Justice, Muntari Kado and Ahmed El-marzuq.

The rest were Nasir Zangon-Daura, the member representing Zango/Baure Federal Constituency, and Alhaji Yusuf Barmo, among others.
