Nigeria’s leading Bank, Skye Bank is not resting on its oars as the bank continues to reward more winners nationwide who emerged in its on-going ‘Reach for the Skye Millionaire’ savings reward scheme.

The Benin draw which was the fourth draw since the scheme started in July this year was filled with much excitement and also produced three mega lucky winners of the 1 million Naira star prize, including Ogunesan Olawunmi Hannah from Saki branch; Dansuma Hajara from Dekina branch and Mufuliat Temitope Adekanye from Ilorin branch.

They were not the only ones that got lucky as four other customers also emerged in the 250,000 Naira category. They are Mogantem Kingsley Mogaten from Jalingo branch; Immaobong Bassey from Itu branch; Adesulu Moyin Mary from Wharf Road 2 branch and Wahabi Alamu from Oba Adebimpe branch.

In the 100,000 Naira consolation prize category, the winners include Dada Abisola Susan from Akungba branch, Olubodun Omolara Maryam from Allen Avenue branch, Ganiyu Akinwale from Agodi branch, Amupitan Babatunde from Wuse branch, Ebinum Friday Isaac from Onne branch, Oboh Ann Sandra from Auchi Poly branch, Nwaiwu Isaac from Umuelemai branch, Anjorin Oladele, and Emmanuel Odiase from Ugbowo branch.

Speaking at the draw, Skye Bank’s Head of Retail Banking Group, Nkolika Okoli stated that the ‘Reach for the Skye Millionaire Reward’ is designed as an incentive to encourage individuals in all income segments to cultivate the habit of savings.

Okoli stated that, “Skye Bank is not just encouraging customers to save by putting in place simple banking processes to ensure a positive customer experience across our channels, but we are also rewarding customers for doing this. Each month, 3 savings customers will emerge as millionaires while 14 others will smile home with consolation prizes ranging from N250,000 to N100,000. The scheme has no duration; we would continue to reward customers as long as they keep saving. We are also willing to provide financial and business advisory for any winner who decides to start a small business with the winning money.”

While commending Skye Bank for displaying a high level of credibility and integrity in selecting the winners, the Zonal Coordinator, National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Edo State Mrs. Maureen Apata urged other banks to emulate the bank.

Expressing appreciation to Skye bank, Mr. Odiase, one of the lucky winners of the 100,000 naira category from Ugbowo branch, Benin City who was present at the event, said “I am so touched and grateful; I never believed this could be possible. In fact, Skye Bank is the best for rewarding its customers. I will continue to save and encourage others to save. I will invest this money, so that it can yield more profit.”

The raffle draw session was hosted by Comedian and Celebrity Host, Maleke, and had series of rigorous and authentic selection processes using verification software to help validate the winners based on their minimum balances of 2000 Naira.

The “Reach for the Skye” scheme began in July and will run for one year, with series of monthly raffle draws during which more and more winners will continue to emerge.
