Ibrahim Abubakar, a top shot of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been shot dead.

Abubakar was shot dead early Wednesday in Abuja, according to a Twitter message posted by the NFF.

He was the NFF’s Head of Protocol, was shot dead in the early hours of Wednesday.

His attackers, believed to be armed robbers, killed him in his Abuja home.

Further information has it that the remains of Abubakar are on the way to his home state, Kaduna, for burial according to Islamic rites.
