It was  gathered that the operatives who came in around 11.45am went to the accounts and procurement departments of the agency at the annex, immediately they were done at the headquarters of the agency where they disrupted a meeting between the agency’s top echelon and the Human Resources department.

A source who confided in our medium said the reason behind their visit was not unconnected to allegations of financial impropriety levelled against management as well as dig into some curious contracts which were allegedly awarded in defiance to due process.

“It is true that EFCC people came here today (Friday). They first came to the headquarters before going to the annex. I am trying to get to the root of the matter,” he said.

Though he did not name the persons interrogated by EFCC personnel, he said the anti-graft agency was seeking explanation to some contracts awarded to some companies without due process.

As at the time of filing this report no one has been taken away by the anti-graft agency but there is still an uneasy calm around the agency on the outcome of the EFCC’s investigations and findings.

A close source to the Managing director told Daily Times that it was not strange as the officials of the EFCC were doing their routine check.
It was also learned that the case under investigation was committed during the tenure of the immediate past management.
