INEC washes self as attempt to recall Dino Melaye from Senate failed

It is no crime that Dino Melaye did not attend Harvard University or London School of Economics, and became a senator in Nigeria.

One does not need to attend Ivy league schools in US or UK to lead his people.

But when a senator brazenly lies to people that he graduated from those schools, then people should be concerned.

Are liars and braggarts the best people we should push forward to represent us?

That shouldn’t be.

So this message is specifically for the people of Kogi West whom Senator Dino Melaye represents.

I do not think you need to wait a day longer to recall Mr Melaye.

Harvard has denied he ever enrolled as a student, let alone graduated. A one-week workshop attendance certainly does not qualify anyone to become a graduate.

Similarly, LSE has dismissed the claim as false.

The response of ABU is controversial, but we understand.

Their wavering speaks to the dubiety that has characterized Nigerian university system.

Professor Pius Adesanmi has briefly, but brilliantly written an expose on that subject, so I won’t stay on the issue.

There is no other way to look at this issue:

Senator Dino Melaye lied.

He lied to the people of Kogi West. He lied to Nigerians, and to the rest of the world that viewed his video on the internet.

That he is allowed to continue speaking on behalf of the people of Kogi West in the Senate should be viewed as a collective disgrace.

So this is no time to stack up ethnic defence for the Senator.

This is the time to send him home and ask him use his fake Harvard and LSE certificates to find another job.

Dump Dino Now.
