South Africa-based Nigerian Hip Pop artiste, “Fakia Large”, says arrangements have been concluded to release his new single, entitled “Monalisa’’.
The musician, born Ifeanyi Collins Nwadialu, told our reporter on Sunday in Pretoria, South Africa, that the song would be released in August in that city.
“Monalisa is a love song I composed. It is about a relationship between a man and his fiancée, especially the ups and downs.
“The song traced the rumours that speculated the man was about leaving his wife to be and her reaction,’’ he said.
Nwadialu said in the long run, the man convinced his woman and the relationship continued.
“The message in the song is that couples should not listen to rumours because it can affect their relationship.
“Couples should always dialogue and resolve any differences or challenges in their lives,’’ he said.
The 32-year-old native of Ihiala Local Government of Anambra, said he also played afro-pop and hip life music.
“The video of the new song has not been shot. We want to release this one first, thereafter, we will start work on the video production.’’
Nwadialu also said he had recorded 20 songs in four Compact Discs (CDs) and was working on new songs.
“My inspiration comes from God. I try my best to make my work to be eal and original to attract the attention of the listeners,’’ he said.
He added that he wanted to create an original trend in music similar to what musicians like Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade and Osita Osadebe did.
The artiste said that his ambition was to break into the South African music industry and become Nigeria`s ambassador in music and assist budding artistes to rise.
