Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has debunked the insinuation that it is planning to reduce the petrol pump price from N87.00 to N56.00.

NNPCOhi Aligbe, Group General Manager of NNPC, said that there is no iota of truth in the news making the rounds that the organisation has reduced the pump price of fuel.

Aligbe, during a television programme said that stories about the pump price being reduced have gone viral on the internet, but reaffirmed that the pump price of petrol remains N87 per litre.

The Group General Manager of NNPC, however, described the rumour as the handiwork of detractors, saying that the management is not contemplating price reduction as at now.
