Wine connoisseurs laud Amphora, Julius Tonic wine
Press Release
It was thumbs up galore as lovers of good wine applauded Euro Global Foods and Distilleries, makers of the Amphora range of red, white wines and Julius Tonic wine for delighting them with their brands in a taste sampling at the Lagos International Trade Fair organized by the Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Taiwo Osho, a media consultant, who described the Amphora wine as refreshing and smooth on the palates also appreciated the brand for its beautiful packaging. In his words, “the brand is beautiful in and out. It’s difficult to believe the brand is packaged locally. I really commend you guys.”
Another wine lover, Mr. Kesiena Akoreh, an advertising creative guru resident in Lagos gave Kudos to the various range of the Amphora Wine. According to him, it was difficult to choose between Amphora Merlot and Amphora Shiraz, both he described as exotic and delectable. “To be honest, I think Euro Global has just raised the bar in quality wine. In addition to the exotic taste of the brands, you are almost going to conclude that the packaging is foreign, except that it is bottled here in Nigeria. That is just great,” he submitted.
A wine dealer from Kosofe, Mrs Ifeoma Okeke expressed her love for Julius Tonic Wine which she revealed has been her favourite tonic wine since she came in contact with it over a year ago.
“You know that most ladies like their wine sweet and smooth. These two qualities have endeared me to Julius Tonic wine. I don’t just sell it alone, I personally take it and I will recommend it any day for any occasion because the alcoholic content is moderate. I am happy that you people brought it to the Trade Fair again this year,” she stated.
While Julius Tonic comes in both 75cl and 37.5cl bottles, the Amphora ranges which include Amphora Merlot, Amphora Shiraz and Amphora Chardonnay are imported from Italy and South Africa but bottled and packaged in Nigeria from the Stables of Euro Global Foods And Distilleries Limited, Ota, Ogun State. Other brands from Euro Global are Sabrina premium gin, Seaking Schnapps, Savana fruit drinks, Brave Heart Premium Quality Rum and the newly introduced Power Bitters and Blue Lagoon Gin.
Responding to the accolades, the Head of Marketing for the Sona Group, Mr Oluwatosin Bakare stated that he was humbled that consumers of quality wine in Nigeria within a short time have accepted the brands and also confirmed that the All World Network ranking of the Euro Global company as first among its peers was no fluke.
“I am really excited that our consumers have endorsed the quality brands of Euro Global. This was what The Tony Elumelu Foundation in partnership with All World Network saw some years back to crown us numero uno amongst our contemporaries. It’s therefore a call to do more of what we do in smarter and excellent ways. We will continue to strive to satisfy our consumers and our stakeholders to ensure a mutually rewarding relationship.”
It would be recalled that Euro Global, a member of the Sona Group, came first at the last edition of the Nigeria Fast Growth 50 Companies organized by AllWorld Network, a global entrepreneurship ranking firm headquartered in USA in partnership with The Tony Elumelu Foundation.
The Nigeria Fast Growth 50 represented some of the fastest growing, most dynamic unlisted companies in Nigeria. Allworld ranking puts private companies on the global radar screen, drawing to them customers, investors, growth partners and talents.
