Victims of gun attack in Taraba seek government help
Victims of recent gun attack in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba has called on the state government and public spirited individuals to come to their aid and assist them in settling their medical bills.
Miss. Sulum Tersoo, Terese Mtemaga, Mrs. Mercy Tersoo and her seven month old baby were badly shot Tuesday last week by unknown gunmen in a night raid at Agbadorough village, near Bali town in Taraba state.
A relation of the victims Mr. Kwaghkor Tersoo while conducting journalists round the wards of Santa Maria Catholic hospital in Bali said the family and community efforts were not enough to foot the bills of the injured victims and called for help.
“We rushed them to this hospital after the attack and we have since been footing their medical bills. It’s unfortunate that we have run out of funds and the hospital need money to continue with the treatment.
As you may be aware, we just return to our villages after attack on us last year and we don’t have anything. We are just managing to cope with the reality of life, so government and spirited individuals should help us and take over the bills and save the life of this innocent women and child,” he appealed.
He lamented that a week after the attack, no arrest has been made by the police in connection to the attack, which according to him killed two and left the four in the hospital injured.
