FAAN partners FRSC on safety and security on Lagos Airport access road

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr. Saleh Dunoma has said that the authority would continue to do its best to ensure safety and security on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Access Road, Lagos.

Engr. Dunoma made this remark during a working visit paid to the authority by officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

The meeting was centred on providing a safe and secure driveway along MMIA Access Road, Lagos by permanently vacating the petroleum tankers positioned along that road.

Engr. Dunoma stated that it is the primary duty of the Petroleum marketers to provide a permanent parking space for its tankers however due to the authority’s concern for safety and security for airport users, it would do its best in assisting the petroleum marketers in ensuring that the tankers are parked and positioned appropriately.

Those present at the meeting include members of the Nigerian Union of Petroleum  and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), FAAN Director of Airport Operations, Capt. Henry Omeogu, Action Director of Cargo and Business Development, Director of maintenance and Engineering, Engr. Femi Ogunode, Acting Director of Security Service, Omaghomi J.J, General Manager, Business Development, Abubakar Achimugu and Assistant General Manager, Yahya Dantoro.
