The Canadian High Commission in Nigeria, on Wednesday said it would host the 12th edition of its Education Fair in Nigeria between Feb. 2 and Feb 5.
Mr Lajos Arendas, the Deputy High Commissioner of Canada in Lagos, announced this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
According to the statement, the fair will take place in Abuja from Feb. 2 to Feb. 3 and in Lagos between Feb. 5 and Feb. 6.
Arendas stated that 41 Canadian institutions, including universities, colleges and secondary schools, would exhibit their expertise, capabilities and programs to Nigerian students at the fair.
The fair would also help Nigerian parents make informed decisions on schools and courses for their children.
It would also help to increase awareness among Nigerians about Canadian secondary and post-secondary institutions.
The statement said the fair would be free and open to students, parents, Parent-Teacher Association and staff from secondary schools.
“Representatives of participating schools and institutions from across Canada will highlight the advantages of studying in Canada.
“Canadian government officials will also be present to provide information on study permits in both Abuja and Lagos fairs,” the statement read in part. (NAN)
