OPC sacks national officers
The National Co-ordinating Council of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) has announced the expulsion of some its officers, for anti-congress activities and gross indiscipline, which could portray the body as anti-people and a lawless organisation.
The members are Marruf Salami (former Kwara State Co-ordinator) Adeola Adeagbo (former Oyo State Co-ordinator) Rotimi Akinsowon (former Ondo State Coordinator, Boye Mayungbe, Akeem Ologburo (former Bayelsa State Co-ordinator).
According to the Director of Media and Publicity, Yinka Oguntimehin, the Congress frowns upon the expelled members who had exhibited gross anti-congress activities and acts that were capable opf drawing a bad press for the body.
In their place are the following officers Oguntunde Rotimi Olumo (Oyo), Pius Ogunsanya (Ondo) who are to act as state co-ordinators and take charge of the state secretariats, while competent hands would soon be appointed for other states.
