Expert urges operators to intensify efforts in deepening insurance awareness
Dr. Leke Oshunniyi, Managing Director, Multishield limited, has called on insurance operators in the country to leverage on the platform provided by Miss Insurance beauty pageant to bring insurance closer to the people.
The health maintenance specialists, who was the Special Guest of Honour, bemoan the persistent low insurance penetration in the country, calling on operators to be active, using this platform to greater advantage in the promotion of insurance services.
Dr. Oshunniyi, however challenged both insurance operators and regulators to intensify efforts in deepening awareness.
Earlier, Lady Isioma Chukwuma, President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) called for improved prize for the winners of the Miss Insurance beauty pageant.
She mentioned prise such as SUV Jeep to encourage more people to join the competition.
She also called for more sponsorship from underwriting firms, as this was another way of promoting insurance to Nigerians.
She maintained that the event has become what the public look out for yearly.
Lady Isioma Chukwuma, applauded her predecessors for creating such platform to deepen insurance awareness, while urging winners to remain good ambassadors of the industry.
She noted that the institute would continue to improve on the initiative to ensure that the set objectives are fully achieved.
