Ogun govt to launch mobile clinic in rural areas
In its bid to bring quality health care service delivery to the door step of the people, the Ogun State Government has revealed its plan to launch mobile clinic services in the State, particularly in rural areas.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye made this disclosure at the rounding-off ceremony of February 2016 Immunization Plus Days (IPDs) in Ifo Local Government Area.
Dr. Ipaye also revealed that the present administration would renovate two health centres in the Local Government, adding that Ifo General Hospital would be given a face lift.
He added that the Community Base Health Insurance Scheme (CBHIS) “Araya’’ would be re-launched in the council area in order for the people to benefit from health campaign programme of the State Government.
In his address, the Chairman Caretaker Committee, Ifo Local Government, Dr. Lukman Kiadese acknowledged that the Local Council was one of the largest LGAs in the State with a number of health facilities, saying that the immunization programme would add value to the health of the people.
He further called for more partnership with the State Government towards bringing more health developmental programme to the Local Government for the benefit of the people.
In his goodwill message, the Olu of Ifo, Oba Samuel Oladipupo, represented by Chief Lawal Adebeshin appreciated the kind gesture and effort of the State Government towards making quality health care service delivery accessible to the people in the State and Ifo Local Government in particular.
He also enjoined mothers and caregivers in the council area to always take advantage of any Government programme by making their children available for the immunization exercise.
