The allegedly abducted 14-year old girl, Ese Oruru, has arrived in Bayelsa State in company of her mother, Mrs Rose Oruru and some police officers from Abuja.

She was allegedly abducted in August 2015 by one Yunusa Dahiru, also known as Yellow, and taken to Kano where she was also allegedly married off.

The Commissioner of Police in Bayela State, Peter Ogunyanwo, confirmed Ese’s arrival.

He said she arrived few minutes before 8:00pm, local time.

On arrival, she was taken to the Officers’ Mess and went into a secret meeting with the Police Commissioner in Yenagoa.

The media was completely shutout from the meeting, as the police said she had been put through so much humiliation and should not be further exposed.

Earlier, Channels Television’s correspondent was in Opolo community where she met with Kelvin, Oruru, Ese’s elder brother.

He expressed delight, as he anticipates the sister’s return.

Before she left Abuja, the police said she had undergone some medical and psychological check-up, but the results were not made public.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Charles Oruru, father of abducted Ese, said he will seek spiritual help from Lagos cleric, Pastor T. B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations.

The decision to seek spiritual help, Oruru said, was informed by claims that his daughter, 14 years old Ese, had declined to come home after being released into the custody of the Police, fearing she may have been hypnotised.

According to him, the traumatic experience and release of their daughter was the Lord’s doing, adding that it would take prayers before she can return to normal.

He said, “We have decided to visit the T. B. Joshua for prayers and thanksgiving. When I heard that she is declining to come home, I see this as a spiritual problem that can only be countered by prayer.”
