Naija lottery apologies for service disruption, resume operation

The management of Naija lottery, the trademark of international lottery and gaming limited in Nigeria has described as unfortunate the interruption to its services in Lagos recently.

Naija lottery apologies for service disruption, resume operation

The leading Betting, Racing & Video Lottery operator in Nigeria attributed the disruption to “certain unresolved conflicts between state and federal regulatory authorities” and apologies to its customers and other stakeholders.

A statement by the company made available to NEWSVERGE said it has taken steps to avoid a similar incidence in future even as it restored the interstate lottery in Lagos.

The document said “Our Company has taken steps to protect itself and other stakeholders from future service disruption. We have restored our interstate lottery in Lagos and assure the general public that we are operating within the full ambit of the law.”

The statement further said the “International lottery and gaming takes this opportunity to categorically state that we are a law-abiding organization committed to good corporate governance, transparency, and accountability. Our unique lottery and gaming services are accessible from any part of Nigeria and we are committed to international best practices.”

At the commissioning of the Lagos office in Jibowu area of Yaba, Director General of the Nigeria Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr. Adolphus Joe Ekpe had disclosed that Naija Lottery met all the requirements for the commission to give it operating licence saying they were given a license last year and now they are starting their operation.

While commending Naija Lottery for the feat, Mr. Ekpe said the project will create employment for Nigeria because lottery creates employment affirming that those who would market the ticket, they work for the company and that it would create income because those who play stand the chance of winning.

Naija Lottery said it is offering two games: the popular 5/90 with 5 daily draws and the newly introduced instant game 1/36 which will offer additional excitement to Nigerian players and begin operations with 1500 Points of Sales which will increase to 10,000 within the first one year of operations in Nigeria.
