Easter: Nigerian airports ready for holiday traffic – Dati
The management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has affirmed the readiness of airports across the country for the forthcoming Easter celebrations.
The General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Yakubu Dati, assured members of the public, especially passengers and airline operators, that necessary operational and security measures have been put in place at all airports to ensure hitch-free passage of passengers and cargo during the forthcoming Easter holidays.
According to Dati, passenger facilitation at all airports had also been enhanced by the installation of more modern and bigger conveyor belts and metal walk-through detectors. “The expansion and modernisation of all the airport terminals in the country now provide better ambience for passenger facilitation and commercial offerings.
“Passengers are hereby advised to take advantage of online portals to book their flights ahead of time and avoid carrying unauthorised items. The Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) mounted around the airport vicinity is to aid the joint security efforts” Datti said.
He advised travelers to leave home early on their travel dates, in order to complete their boarding facilities in good time.
