Police confirms arrest of two wanted Boko Haram suspects in TarabaShaba who stated this in his office in Jalingo while briefing journalists on the achievements of the command in the past month said Ali Audu alias Dungu was arrested in Tella in Gassol local government on February 22 while Abdulmumuni Abdullahi was arrested in Bali on March 5.

According to the Commissioner, the two suspects have since been handed over to the Nigerian Army in Yobe state.

He explained that the police acting on credible information from informants arrested the Boko Haram Commanders from their hideouts in the state. “We are not relenting in our efforts to keep Taraba safe, now that Boko Haram elements are considering Taraba a safe haven,” he said.

The Police chief further confirmed the influx of strange people in trucks into the state who he said have posed a security threat to the people of the state and vowed to flushed the criminals wherever they may be in the state.

It was gathered that Ali Audu (Alias Dungu) who was arrested in Bali town, in Bali local government was pretending to be Suya seller, before he was picked by intelligent police officers.

It could be recalled that Senator Emmanuel Bwacha representing Taraba South had recently raised alarm over influx of Boko Haram elements into the state and even sponsored a motion on the floor of the senate over the issue.
