Rivers violence is shameful, says Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday expressed disappointment at the violence that marred the Rivers State re-run elections, describing it as shameful.
The President disclosed this at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at its headquarters in Abuja, said problem of election violence in subsequent elections would address.
Speaking on the fight against corruption, President Buhari said efforts are being made to publish a list of funds recovered from corrupt politicians and public servants.
Present at the meeting, President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as well as some governors and party leaders.
This is the party’s second NEC meeting after the Buhari led administration came into power.
