Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, on Monday, declared that the developments in the party were embarrassing and unexciting.

Nwodo, who said this in a statement personally signed by him and made available to journalists in Abuja, however stressed that he was yet to dump the PDP as being insinuated in the media.

Nwodo, who was a former Governor of Enugu State, maintained that a number of issues within PDP remain embarrassing to the founding fathers of the party.

He said that his attention had been drawn to media insinuations that he had dumped the PDP and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Nwodo said that it was improper for the media to “stand merely on my wife being present at a meeting that I was not, to conclude that I have joined the APC, disregarding the fact that my wife, as an adult, has her own political life”.
