The Lagos State Commissioner of Police Mr. Fatai Awoseni, on Monday settled social media war between retired-model-turned-blogger, Linda Ikeji and super star music act, Ayo Balogun, famously known in the music circle as Wizkid has ended.
This is just as the police in Lagos have resolved the fight between both parties amicably.
Ms Ikeji had filed a threat to life compliant against the singer after the latter publicly threatened to send his 16-year-old cousin to deal with her.
Confirming that the single blogger, who is in her late 30s truly lodged a complaint, the police command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent (SP) said the Commissioner, Fatai Owoseni had brokered peace between them.
“Yes, the command received a petition of threat to life from Linda Ikeji against Ayo Balogun. The CP has waded into the issue between Wizkid and Linda Ikeji. Alternative dispute resolution was used and the parties left in peace,” said he.
It was noted that war broke out between the duo after Miss Ikeji published a report on her self-titles blog that Wizkid was facing eviction problems from his supposed Lekki home.
Wizkid, who did not find the publication funy threatened to send his 16-year-old cousin to “beat the shit” out of her.
Following Wizkid’s threat, Linda decided to table the matter before the police for necessary action.
