PDP adjusts time-table for 2016 congresses, national convention

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has adjusted the timetable for its Congresses and National Convention.

Under the new timetable, the party’s national convention will hold on Saturday, May 21, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The PDP ward congresses will hold on Saturday, April 30, while

Appeal arising from the Ward congresses will be heard on Monday, May 2.

A statement, on Wednesday in Abuja by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh. gave details of the adjusted timetable is as follows:

*.Ward Congresses      –       Saturday, April 30, 2016

Ward Appeal                 –      Monday, May 2, 2016

*LGA Congresses          –      Thursday, May 5, 2016. LGA Appeal – Saturday, May 7, 2016.

*State Congresses       –       Tuesday, May 10, 2016.

* State Appeal            –         Thursday, May 12, 2016

*Zonal Congresses       –        Saturday, May 14, 2016.

* Zonal Appeal             –        Tuesday, May 17, 2016

*National Convention     –       Saturday, May 21, 2016

The new timetable, according to Metuh, superseded the former.
