The House of Representatives has once again directed the Inspector General of Police to seal the Kogi State House of Assembly complex pending when the crisis is resolved.Reps again directs IG, Arase to seal Kogi Assembly
This is one of the resolutions adopted by the House after considering the report of an Adhoc Committee that investigated a declaration by the Attorney General of the Federation on the resolution of the National Assembly on the crisis.
In that declaration, the Attorney General had advised the Inspector General of Police to consider the resolution of the National Assembly to take over the duties of the Kogi State House of Assembly as illegal.
The House is also demanding that the Attorney General of the Federation and the Inspector General be reprimanded for undermining the authority of the legislature.
The House has also directed that the Attorney General of the Federation should immediately withdraw his advice to the Inspector General of Police.
