I have quit facebook, twitter accounts – Minister

The Minister of State, Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika, has warned the public against falling into the hands of criminals who use his name to dupe people on social media.

Sirika, who addressed newsmen on Friday in Abuja, said that he had quit his Facebook account, twitter handle and other social media platforms.

He said that the over 20 facebook accounts and twitter handles bearing his name and pictures, announcing the distribution of motorcycles and other items were not created by him.

“I want to bring it to the attention of the public that I no longer have facebook account, twitter handle and other social media platforms and I don’t give people jobs on internet.

“There are currently over 20 different facebook accounts and other social media platforms created by criminals to dupe gullible Nigerians; those were not created by me.

“I don’t distribute motor cycles on social media; I do that at my constituency headquarters and senatorial district headquarters openly and not on facebook,’’ he said.
