The Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN) on Tuesday unveiled the 10th Poster Awards, slated to hold on June 30, 2016, tagged “Strengthening Partnership”.OAAN unveils 10th Poster Awards to hold June 30

Speaking on the plans for this year’s outing, the Committee Chairman, Mr. Ladi Sole said that Poster Awards is the pride of the association.

Sole, explained that, “this is because it not only shows the associations appreciation of creativity in the industry, but creates a forum where stakeholders in marketing communication and other works of life meet to interact in an atmosphere of relaxation, beauty and splendor”.

The categories for the Awards consideration have not changed as he encouraged the creative and buying agencies to seize this landmark edition to also make their landmark in the number of entries they submit, Sole stated.

According to him, this year Awards has introduced new category “Regulatory Agency of the Year”, this is to show appreciation for the role the government agencies play in the country.

He affirmed that the panel of judges drawn for the various sectoral bodies and institutions to give credence to the exercise would be inaugurated on May 18, 2016.

On his part, the President of the Association, Mr. Tunde Adedoyin corroborated Mr. Sole position, explained the heightened anticipation to make this event very grand.

Adedoyin also confirmed that the Minister for Information and Communication, Mr. Lai Muhammed, would grace the occasion as the chairman.

He further said that, this year event has been designed to give great prominence to the business session where renowned players in various sectors that affect the advertising subsector would be in attendance with the key note address being given by the doyen of the marketing communication industry, Mr. Biodun Shobanjo.

He will be talking on the topic ” Indices of a Vibrant Economy: Outdoor Advertising – A catalyst for growth”.
