PTA renovates classrooms, others in Army school in Adamawa

Jigawa to spend N35m to build classrooms for nomadic schools

The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Command Children School (CCS), Yola, has renovated 10 blocks of classrooms in Gibson Jalo Cantonment of 23rd Amoured Brigade, Yola.

Its Chairman, Mallam Umar Sa’ad, made this known, on Wednesday, in Yola at the inauguration of a classroom block renovated by the association.

Sa’ad said the association had also constructed 10 VIP toilets, refurbished the school band, purchased two hand scanners for security in the school, as well as linked the school to the state water board.

Sa’ad lauded the authorities of 23rd Amoured brigade, particularly it’s education officer for the support to the association and urged for sustain good working relationship.

Inaugurating the project, the Brigade Commander of the 23rd Amoured Brigade Yola, Brig Gen. Benson Akinroluyo, lauded the association for it’s commitment to transforming the school.

Akinroluyo said the brigade is always ready to work with the association in improving teaching and condition of the school.

In his remarks, the Head Teacher of the school, Mr Emmanuel Ayongo, thanked the PTA for it numerous support to the school and urged for sustain support.
