IGP commissions Police estate in Yola
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, has reiterated the desire of the present management team of the Nigeria Police to provide conducive accommodation to the Inspectors and rank and file who were in need.
Arase spoke in Yola Wednesday at the commissioning of one hundred semi-detached bungalows named Gambo Jimeta Police Housing Estate.
The Inspector-General of Police, who was represented by the Adamawa State Police Commissioner, Ghazzali Mohammed, announced that the housing estate was not a police barracks, but an estate that equally cater for the civic populace.
The Nigerian Police Mortgage Bank, the IGP announced, had put in place a convenient home ownership package with easy repayment terms for the mortgage to be deducted from the monthly emolument of the beneficiaries over an extended period of time.
