Fayose: Court admits extra judicial statement of dead man

Mr Mike Osatuyi, Group Managing Director, Chance Oil on Thursday debunked report associating his company with the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.

Osatuyi said that the closure of the station located at Lambe, Akute area of Ogun State was due to approval fees from the State Government and not linked with Fayose.

He clarified that Chance Oil is owned by him and not Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The GMD Chance oil said that the closure was done by Ogun State Government and not by Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

He said that `Chance Oil’ has no connection with Gov. Fayose, and urged media to verify their facts before rush to the published.

“I will not hesitate to level charges against any media who allow them to be used by some disgruntled element.

“I urge Nigerian journalists to engage in investigative journalism rather than involving themselves in peddling wrong information that are not confirmed.”

According to Osatuyi, “I don’t have any connection whatsoever with Gov. Fayose.

“The station was sealed by Ogun State Government on the account of non-payment of permit and not linked with EFCC closure.”

NEWSVERGE reports that ThisDay on Thursday, on page 52 said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was on Wednesday said to have sealed off a fuel station purportedly belonging to the Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose.

The report said the filling station identified was said to have been sealed off by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for reasons yet unknown.
