Plans are in place by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) to organise the 4th valedictory lecture, which was to acknowledge honour and celebrate the contributions of individuals who have distinguished themselves and reached the pinnacle of their career in banking.
In recognition of his commendable service of Mr Philip Oduoza, GMD/CEO of the United Bank for Africa Plc to the banking industry, the Institute is organising a valedictory lecture in his honour, at which he would be speaking on the topic: “The Emergence of a Nigerian Pan-African Bank.”

This followed the completion of his tenure as the GMD/CEO of the Bank, an inspiring and enviable career spanning decades of diverse management and operational experience.

Having had an eventful career at United Bank for Africa Plc, Philip Oduoza, is set to retire by the end of July 2016.

The event, which will be chaired by the founder & former Managing Director of Diamond Bank Plc, Dr. Pascal Dozie, is scheduled for July 22, 2016, in Victoria Island, Lagos.

CIBN has said that Oduoza is celebrated because he is a respectable personality who has established a reputation for solid performance and sound judgment in UBA and the industry at large.
