Adamawa: APC excos pledge loyalty to Gov. Bindow



Bindow declares 3-day mourning over death of Chief of Staff

The leadership of the Adamawa State All Progressives Congress (APC), led by the party chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, has pledged their loyalty to Governor Jibrilla Bindow.

This was made know by Bilal during a visit to the governor where he said that the national leadership of the party asked them to make the pledge.

Bilal pleaded for forgiveness for all the mistakes of the past and for areas where they might have been disloyal to the Governor or offended him.

He stated this when the party Exco paid a courtesy call to the Governor at the Government House, saying that the national leadership of APC stated categorically that all party functions of the state should be passed through the State Governor.

He emphasised that the national leadership was commending the Governor for his hard work and people-oriented projects, in spite of the challenge of lean funds.

While displaying a letter of their authenticity as party officials given to them by the National Exco to the Governor, Bilal said that they were grateful for the laudable projects going on in the state.

“The national leadership is proud of you, so we ask the party to support you and ensure that you succeed”, said Bilal.

Bindow said that he was okay with the letter from the National Headquarters and that his priority was to ensure that the party was strong in the state and dividends of democracy was delivered to the people.

Bindow said that as the leader of the party in the state, he welcomed everyone who wanted to join APC and underscored the fact that, it was because the party was doing well.

He called on all leaders and people in the state to join the APC, insisting that the opposition in the state was being ruined by the defection of Markus Gundiri and Nuhu Ribadu to APC.

He called for unity in the Adamawa project and prayed that the only thing that would ensure progress in the state was unity.

Bindow announced that the Yoldepate and Vunoklang roads would be flagged off on Thursday 28th July by 10a.m. prompt.

Governor Bindow ceased the opportunity to also state that very soon the salary arrears of local government workers, teachers and health workers, would be paid.
